The Ballband Dishcloth (a free pattern on Ravelry), has been adapted into a chunky cowl that knits up quickly and is sure to keep you toasty warm through the cold winter months.
Size shown: 30" diameter, 7" wide (approx. 76x18cm)
Pattern includes information on how to make a larger piece.
Gauge: 10 stitches = 4" (10cm)
Materials:
Super-bulky yarn in two contrasting colors. You'll need approximately 50 yards of each color to make the size shown. With more yardage, you can make a longer and/or wider cowl.
Suggested yarns:

Malabrigo Caracol - 1 ball each color will make two in size shown or one longer/wider
Malabrigo Rasta - 1 ball each color will make two in size shown or one longer/wider
Needles: Circular needles US15 (10mm), 24" (60cm) long for size shown, 32" (80cm) long for longer version
