Every March for the last 12 years, fiber enthusiasts have come to Portland to visit shops, socialize, and buy lots of yarn! For the 10 years that we've been open, this has been our biggest event of the year. 

This year, due to the pandemic, the fun is going online! The physical shop will be open regular hours, but you can shop any time you like right here online. 

All our pop-up shop products will be available right here. Some items will also be in the physical shop, but not all. We encourage you to shop online -- no crowds or lines!

Every purchase will include codes to download our hat patterns from Ravelry for free. Our knit pattern is Much Obliged, knit in Shepherd's Wool Sport, one solid color and one Crazy self-striping. And we'll have kits listed as well. The crochet pattern is TYVM, crocheted in Duchess of Dyepots Laird DK with a contrasting color stripe.

Continuing with this year’s crawl theme of Gratitude, 10% of yarn sales for our patterns will be donated to Rose Haven, a day shelter and community center serving women, children and gender non-conforming folks experiencing poverty, trauma and intersecting issues. 

PRIZES! A special code for our shop will be listed here and you can use that, along with similar codes from the other shops, to enter the grand prize drawing, no purchase required. 

Everyone who makes a purchase during Crawl, whether online or in the shop, will be entered into a drawing for our shop prizes. 

What you'll see on March 4th on or before 10:00AM Pacific Time:

• A link to our Rose City Yarn Crawl collection in the top navigation bar.
• A full list of products from Alexandra, the Art of Yarn, one of our favorite local dyers, including at least one new kit being introduced for the first time right here!
• A collection of yarns from the Duchess of Dyepots, another local dyer we love.
• Hand-dyed yarns from a new-to-us dyer, Seattle Sky Dyeworks. We think you'll love these!

Of course all the products on our website will be available to you, but these are the special highlights for the Crawl.

Live Zoom event! 

A note on delivery of your orders: We will pack and ship your orders ASAP. Please know that there may be a slight delay due to volume. We really don't know what to expect in terms of number of orders. Some orders may come in two shipments, one from the shop and one from Alexandra.

You can choose Local Pickup in the checkout process. We will notify you when your order is ready to be picked up. There are two parking spots on NW 11th and Glisan that are designated as 5-minute pickup/drop off zones to make it convenient when you come to collect your order.  

In case of snafu: This is going to be a tightrope and we'll walk it as evenly as we can. However, there is always a chance that something will sell in the shop while you are ordering online. If this happens and we are out of stock on an item you order, we will contact you to make arrangements. We appreciate your patience!
