If you love the texture mohair adds to a project, but find it a bit irritating to wear, we're happy to bring you a new alternative that's super soft!
Spun in Italy, Penna is a luxurious lace-weight blend of baby suri alpaca, extra-fine merino, and nylon. It features a gorgeous halo that adds an ethereal quality to any project. On its own, Penna is best suited for garments and accessories with a loose gauge. When held with another yarn, the possibilities are endless. Use it in place of a mohair or mohair/silk laceweight in any project.
Free pattern suggestion: Plume Cowl by Rachel Brockman. Uses three colors, one skein each. So soft, light, and warm!
NOTE: Dusk is a dark, navy blue. Coal is black. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference on screen. :)
